We are a school for pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex behaviours based in Olton, Solihull with a Satellite Centre at Green Lane in Shirley.

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Male Learning Support Assistant to commence in September 2023.  You will be supporting a young man (Yr 9) with asd and very complex behaviours; you will need the ability to show empathy, patience and understanding. The role will require you to act on initiative to provide support during teaching time and through free choice times. 

Duties will include the provision of personal care where necessary, support within the classroom and access to leisure opportunities within the community, you will need a general good level of physical fitness due to the active requirements of this role. 

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to understand and work within the principles of SEN, with a working knowledge or the curriculum and assessment and have experience of working or interfacing with these pupils.
