Reynalds Cross School is looking to appoint a Communication Support Worker to work at our satellite base at Green Lane, Shirley, to support a pupil with a significant hearing loss. You would be joining a team of friendly and experienced staff, to support the pupil in a range of subjects within a nursery setting as well as be delivering high quality interventions. You will also differentiate work prior to the lesson and communicate with teaching staff, to allow for necessary adjustments.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate:
- British Sign Language (minimum Level 2),
- Educated to Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) including English and Maths with good literacy and numeracy skills,
- Experience of working with children with special educational needs in a school or nursery setting
- Experience of preparing, planning, delivering and evaluating lessons and work plans under the guidance of a teacher.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
